CROSSFIT SUFFOLK: Powered By SPARTAN PERFORMANCE
Tiffany G., clearly pregnant, clearly still putting in the work during the CrossFit Suffolk Striking session!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TRYING CROSSFIT This article isn’t for most readers of this website. It’s here so you can pass it along to your friends and relatives who express interest or curiosity about CrossFit but are apprehensive about trying it. The article does a good job describing CrossFit. I don’t care for the author describing CrossFit as a cult because, as CrossFit Founder, Greg Glassman, has said, “We can’t be a cult. We don’t recruit and we don’t give a shit if you leave.”
Workout Of The Day
Deadlift
1×5 at 75% 1RM
Deadlift 1×3 at 85% 1RM
Deadlift 1x AMRAP at 95% 1RM
Use 90% of your 1-rep max as your 1-rep max when figuring percentages.
21-15-9 reps, for time of:
Dumbbell Power Snatch, 70/50 lbs
Burpee
Scale: Dumbbell power snatch 50/30 lbs
or Dumbbell power snatch 30/20 lbs
Actually, the author did not call it a cult, the headline writer did.
I thought I saw the “C” word within the body of the article. I’m going to double check Ken, but thanks for always keeping me in line. 🙂
Apparently you were not the only one to call attention to the “C” word, as it is now gone from the link.
This is the first sentence in the section titled, “Is CrossFit Dangerous?”: “As with any form of exercise, this cult favorite comes with risk.”
