Spartan Kids

Spartan Kids is a half-hour fitness and fun class for children 7-13 year old.  The workouts are based on CrossFit workouts, but modified for children.  The training is fun and perfect for kids who are in between sport seasons or for those who don’t have an interest in team sports at all.  The session meets from 9:15-9:45 am every Saturday.

Olympic Lifting

We train the Olympic Lifts (the Clean, the Jerk and the Snatch) on a regular basis at CrossFit Suffolk, but we also have a certified USAW Sports Performance Coach on staff!  CrossFit Suffolk is also a certified USAW club: Long Island Barbell.  CrossFit Suffolk is equipped with a lifting platform and jerk blocks to facilitate training.

Powerlifting

Our regular strength programming includes the three lifts from the sport of Power Lifting, mainly the deadlift and the back squat.  To a lesser extent we train the bench press.  CrossFit Suffolk’s staff includes two International Powerlifting Association world record holders, Lisa and Melissa Demetriou.
