IT'S TIME—Friday's the day!  We'll be conducting the Spartan Performance PFT (Physical Fitness Test)  The Test will be the Workout Of the Day.  See how you compare to last year.  If this is first time at it, the test is good way to see how you'll improve your general physical preparedness.  We did the test for the first time last year and it was great fun.  This year we're opening it up to whoever would like to give it a go.  Tell your friends–the exercises/skills used for the test are easily learned–no CrossFit experience is necessary.

Interview Of Dr. Kurt Harris Of PaNu  The Interview was conducted by Jimmy Moore of Living The Vida Low Carb.  We've re-posted the writings of Dr. Harris previously and his information is top shelf as well as very user friendly.  Dr. Harris is one of the best at cutting through nutrition nonsense.  There's only one minor issue with this interview–it's a 71 minute podcast.  Long, but worth listening to.  Here's how Chris from Conditioning Research summed up the podcast: Kurt Harris (PaNu) Interview

Check out this video of Steve Cotter overhead squatting a 32 kg kettlebell in one hand while holding a 32kg kettlebell held in the racked position in the other hand.  32kilograms is approximately 70 lbs.!  If 70 lbs. sounds light for a one arm overhead squat give it a try!

What's your strategy to performing a workout exceptionally well?  What does it take to perform an amazing feat of strength or athletic skill?
