The new home of Spartan Performance/CrossFit Suffolk in it's "raw" stageP1230087

We have a new home open and ready to go.  We're still renovating a bit, but for the most part we're operational!

Our new home is with Vamos Brazilian Jiujitsu.  Chris and Alex Vamos expanded their training facility and were good enough to have us join them.  There are classes in Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, judo, wrestling and boxing.  There's a heavy bag section and a training cage for aspiring mixed martial artists!  We're looking forward to training in the new facility!

We've expanded our training capabilities and our schedule.  The new location is centrally located at 4713 Veteran's Highway in Holbrook.  It's easy to get to from the south or north shore.  Give us a call so you can check out the facility and what we're about.  Go to the Contact Us/Schedule page for further info.

Great fights last night at UFC 94.  As I predicted a few days ago right here on this blog Georges St. Pierre defeated BJ Penn.  GSP soundly defeated Penn every second of every round and Penn couldn't come out for the fifth round.  Penn is great and his takedown defense is nothing short of amazing, but there's no way his level of conditioning approaches the conditioning of GSP.

Apparently GSP's next opponent is going to be the very tough Thiago Alves.  Alves will give GSP a hard time, but GSP will win.  The fight we'd like to see is GSP moving up a weight class and meeting Anderson "the Spider" Silva.  GSP has dominated fighters with a high level of wrestling or bjj lately (Serra, Hughes, Fitch and Penn), but not a fighter who approaches the conditioning of Silva combined with the punching, kicking, clinching and kneeing prowess that Silva brings.  That would be an awesome match!
