Your input is requested so we can plan Memorial Day Weekend properly.

Each Memorial Day Weekend we do the CrossFit Hero Workout of The Day, MURPH.  This year many have expressed interest in having a barbecue after the workout.  In order to plan this we need to know:

1) Do you plan on doing “Murph” or a scaled version?

2) On which day do you prefer to do MURPH, Saturday May 28th or Monday May 30th (Memorial Day)?

3) Would you attend the barbecue after the workout?


MASTER QUALIFIER workouts will be released tonight at 8pm!  Lisa will have until Monday to get the workouts done and submit her scores!!

COMPETITION THIS SATURDAY….April 23rd.  We have 3 teams representing CrossFit Suffolk, Matt & Pat W., Ty & Lenny and Luis & Mike G.  The BREAK THE BRACKET New Jersey competition will take place at  CrossFit GSP 48 Overlook Ave., Rochelle Park, NJ 07662 from 8 am- 5 pm.

CrossFit Hartford Spring Showdown  May 14th (Same Gender partners)  Hartford, CT

Long Island Masters Team Competition  June 4th,   35 & Older only  (male/male, woman/woman, Co-ed)  Happauge

Strong Is Beautiful  June 5th  (Women only)  Deer Park

SUMMER BATTLEGROUND  June 25th  (same gender partners)  Farmingdale

30 minutes of:
800 meter run
3 rounds of:
5 pull-ups
15 squats

    1: I would like to attempt Murph, but most likely scaled.
    2: I work weekends 9-3, so I’d only be able to do Monday
    3: I’m down for a BBQ on either day, I just may be late if it’s the Saturday

    Huge thanks for your willingness to plan a BBQ and making CrossFit Suffolk feel more like a family and a 2nd home, than just a gym.

    I won’t be able to make it to Jersey before 5 because of stupid work, but good luck to all those competing!!! So sad I have to miss cheering you all on

    hi George – i’d like to do it on saturday preferably around 10am or so – i plan on doing it Rx’d – one of my boys might do it so i will let you know as soon as its confirmed – look forward to seeing you guys again!

    Alex–Nice to see you here in the Comment Zone! Sounds good! We’re still up in the air about which day. It looks like Monday may be the official day, but we can probably run it on Saturday as well. We’ll keep you posted.
