CROSSFIT SUFFOLK: Powered By SPARTAN PERFORMANCE

The 2018 Lt. Michael P. Murphy Run-Around-The-Lake in Lake Ronkonkoma fielded a 13-person team of CrossFit Suffolk athletes on Saturday. A good time was had by all and the event raises money for the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship, the Lone Survivor Foundation, the Navy SEAL Foundation, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Rotary Club.

Our very own Matt S. and his company Regal Events provided the music and announcing for the event. Always good to hear Matt MC an event!

Daniel and Maureen Murphy, the parents of Lt. Michael P. Murphy were in attendance as was actor Taylor Kitsch. Kitsch portrayed Lt. Michael P. Murphy in the movie Lone Survivor. This was Taylor’s third appearance as a participant in the race!

CrossFit Suffolk athletes have participated in this event every year since 2010.
