WHY POWERLIFTING IS THE PERFECT TRAINING STYLE FOR WOMEN While I don’t necessarily agree with the title of the article I do strongly agree with the fact that including the powerlifting lifts (squat, bench and deadlift) into the training program is beneficial to women, but so are the Olympic lifts (clean & jerk and snatch), Strongman exercises (Farmer’s Walk, Atlas Stone cleans, sandbag carry, throwing, pulling or pushing anything heavy), body weight/gymnastic exercises, and kettlebell work. They ALL will make you stronger and more well rounded with your strength. This is why CrossFit is the perfect training style for women….and men for that matter.–George
