Congratulations to all the participants of the 2012 CrossFit Games!  Performances were nothing short of amazing!   In case you didn't see….Rich Froning and Annie Thorisdottir returned as Champions this year.  For men, Matt Chan was 2nd and Kyle Kasperbauer came in 3rd!  For women, Julie Foucher was 2nd and Talayna Fortunato came in 3rd.  Awesome display of power!

Special Congratulations go out to our home town heroes: Daniel Tyminski from CrossFit Lindy (West Babylon) is now the 14th most fittest man on the planet and Scott DeTore from CrossFit Kryptonite (Center Moriches) took 2nd place in the Master's Division (45-49)!  Outstanding job guys and way to represent "Strong Island".

Have Some Standards   "To clarify, bad form is not necessarily a bad movement standard. Someone may successfully perform a squat, but their knees may cave in a bit, or they may start to collapse forward. They’ve still completed a squat, but they could improve their form (knees out and chest up, respectively, in this case). In contrast, someone could keep their knees out and chest up (good form), but fail to get low enough to consider their movement a squat. (bad movement standard)

As a general rule of thumb, having a bad movement standard will allow you to move more weight in the given exercise, while having bad form will generally limit your ability to move more weight."Jim Bathurst, Beast Skills

Sean somehow connected our computer to the tv and there we sat all day watching. Then after we had post shoulder surgery CrossFit games ourselves lol. No joke the final and only event was 3 rds of 25 ab mat sit ups and 50 air squats. The winner for the women..,…..me and men’s winner was Sean!! Lol I can’t take credit for having a faster time ( by a minute!) since he is still in the sling. Lol the competition continues!!
