Sprint Interval workouts, for the "all-around" athlete, the power athlete and the endurance athlete from the Poliquin Staff.  Each protocol is backed by scientific study and evidence based results.

While we haven't experimented with the protocols yet they seem like they would be an excellent choice for those who report "not knowing how to breathe while running" and those who believe a long, steady paced run is the ideal exercise to lose fat.  Since we breathe constantly "learning how to breathe while running" is most likely a matter of adaptation and being comfortable with being uncomfortable.  It appears that these protocols will push you into the uncomfortable zone.  As for fat burning, these protocols apparently "kick up" the fat-burning hormones more so than long, steady-state running.—George
