Matt and Pat W. would like to compete in the CrossFit Team Series, but need 2 women to complete their team.    You can learn more about the team series by clicking HERE or speaking to me, Pat W. or Matt.  Teams have to registered by September 8th.

4 EXERCISES TO BUILD UNBREAKABLE SHOULDERS

JAMES RHODES: “FIND WHAT YOU LOVE AND LET IT KILL YOU”  This article was published in 2013 and I just learned about it from the blog of my favorite writer, Steven Pressfield.  It has nothing to do with “strength and conditioning” per se, but it has everything to do with the creative aspect of human performance.  The article will speak to a few of you…and that’s good enough for me.

Workout of the Day
30 minutes of:
1200 meter run
3 rounds of:
10 Russian kettlebell swings 24/16 kg
5 box jumps 24/20″
3 pull-ups

NOTE: The “run” is not a sprint and should be done at conversational pace.  That means you can carry on a conversation while “running”.  If you cannot find a pace that you could run and carry a conversation then you should probably be walking.

Post your scores to the Whiteboard.

      Bethie–You continue to frighten me.

Kelly–That was hilarious, but not everyone knows the chalk drama.

Janie–Well played! I went back and read Pat’s reply to Melissa’s response as a caption for the photo and I lost it. Now that was comical! Well played indeed.

You all made me laugh and for that I thank you!

In a bizarre twist of unintentional captioning combined with a good eye for…well…the bizarre I have to name today’s winner in a two-part split based on the same comment. The winner is Pat W. because of Janie’s keen powers of observation. This just goes to show that sometimes luck and timing can best skill!

This was no easy decision on my part. I mulled this over for hours. When I saw that Pat’s comment made Carol laugh I knew in that second that we had our winner. Carol almost never laughs. Funny enough for Carol, funny enough for me!

Honorable mentions go to Jon B., Kelly and John H. You all made me crack up. (If you made Carol laugh she didn’t mention it.)

Bethie, I’m probably going to have nightmares because of your comments. Where is Beth? What have you done with her?

Pat: ummmm George how is this not gay again?

George: what could be more natural than two guys stretching out their glutes together.? Now release……. Release…… Release into me.

    Al–Literally laughing out loud (LLOL)

It’s hard to tell in this photo, but I’m pretty sure we weren’t gazing into each other’s eyes.
