A DOCTOR’S VIEW OF CROSSFIT: AN INTERVIEW WITH DR. STUART MCGILL While we agree with much of this article and have long valued the opinion of Dr. McGill, there are statements made that are never clarified.  For instance, what is a “heavy” weight for high rep Olympic Lifts?  Also, if not everyone is built for receiving the bar ina squat during a snatch why not just instruct those having trouble NOT to go into a squat during the snatch.  The overwhelming number of crossfitters just looking to get into shape have no need to receive the bar in a squat.  I cannot remember a CrossFit Headquarters-sanctioned competition where the competitors were told they must receive the bar in a squat.

    Farmers walk is my favorite! I practically threw them thru the door literally-
    Oops! Sorry George, they landed perfectly with no holes in the wall.

    And who’s that guy in the red timing her?
    Everyone needs to find that guy to time them with this.

    The man in red is easy to find today. He’s the man with the lighter shade of pale legs. When you decide to try the Farmer’s Walk Challenge feel free to keep the Farmer’s Walk handles inside the gym and not try to smash your way into the hallway, with 300 lbs., like one of our other enthusiastic participants.

    I only run because my sweaty hands won’t allow me to hold that weight too long… So much fun… Kelly , you were so strong and amazing as usual …
