YOU ARE NOT PREPARED: HOW TO SURVIVE A LIFE-OR-DEATH SITUATION  A subject near and dear to my heart!  We are currently putting together an extra-curricular gym session on this topic.  To those of you who have been requesting this for a long time I apologize for the delay.  We like to think of it like insurance: good to have and hope to never have to use it.  However, “hope” is a bad strategy for defending yourself.

Workout of the Day
Back Squat
5X2@70%…First rep has a 3 second pause at the bottom

Note: Five sets of two reps with a 3-second pause at the bottom for the first rep only.  Use 70% of your 1-rep max for all five sets.

4 rounds for time of:
20 weighted lunge steps 95/65#, 10 each leg
10 toes to bar

Note: Hold barbell in back squat position.  Lunge step in place or walk if you have proper space.

    I like how obesity is referred to as a lifestyle disease,interesting. I’m definitely rereading this article during the day.
