DANNY BROFLEX: EPISODE 6-BRO-REPS

TOP 50 ESSENTIAL PALEO PANTRY FOODS

ATTENTION:  Registered competitors should show up at the half-hour mark of your scheduled session.  For example, 8:30am competitors should come in at 9 am, if possible.  This will allow the coaches time to address competitors and non-competitors with little, if any clashing….we hope.  Having a specific session just for the competitors will not work since work schedules and family obligations are so varied.  If this arrangement does not work for you come in at your regularly scheduled time and we’ll work it out.  If you are not reading this then don’t concern yourself.  Just go about your day as usual.–George

“Bro, you gotta give me that rep”. I think Josh Bridges was thinking that last night when he got no-reped multiple times for not getting his feet over the line in his HSP’s… This is a tough one. Good luck everybody!

    Al,
That was ridiculous. Bridges is a bodyweight machine and he was locked out on every rep. I’m not liking the “tape” standard, but i understand the need for it. It seems the judges didn’t go over the tape issue with Josh. If you measure for tape height with your arms held narrow, but spread your arms while doing the actual HSPU then you’re not going to get over the line. I think this is what happened to Josh. The bottom line is measuring for HSPU height while standing on your feet isn’t always accurate since standing on your hands is an entirely different position, giving an entirely different reading of height.

George- I totally agree his feet didn’t make it over the line because of his wide arm stance. It took away the advantage of being small ( and smalls like me don’t have many lol) . The standard should be head hits the ground and finish with arms extended while feet on the wall. Isn’t that the way it’s always been. I’m sure box owners such as yourself are loving measuring , marking, subtracting 3 inches then taping. That most be fun doing 50 times this weekend lol
