FANS OF CROSSFIT TRAINING BRAG ABOUT EXTRA BULK  Stupid title to a mostly good article. To me “bulk” suggests big, “blocky”, unwanted mass.  CrossFitters gain usable, functional muscle.  We don’t claim to “sculpt”, “tone” or bodybuild.  We improve athletic performance.  We make people better at playing with their children, climbing stairs, carrying groceries, tools and supplies, surviving critical incidents and generally being able to do more, mentally and physically, than their neighbors.  And still, crossfitting improves appearance.  It doesn’t change one’s genetics, but it WILL take you to the optimal point of your potential.  We had to borrow the below meme from the article, HATERS GONNA HATE by Jenny De Veaux of CrossFit Southbay (CA).–George

I was having a staring contest with a lady bug who has been heckling me when I lift. Not only did I win but because she wasn’t paying attention a spider ate her.

OK..good…Jon took the pressure off of me to come up with something fantastical. I had no idea what he was looking at.
