The family who trains together…..Lauren had the top time for women in yesterday’s WOD (5:36, Rx’d) while her husband, Andrew, had the top time for men, 4:19, Rx’d.  WOD well done!!

We observed most of our athletes slow down during the sit-ups.  We also observed Lauren and Andrew perform the sit-ups with speed, the entire time!  For Lauren and Andrew the sit-ups weren’t a time to slow down, they were an opportunity to go faster.

We have also observed that anyone who has come close to finishing the 100 Day Burpee Challenge has significantly impoved their strength and conditioning.  Guess who were the latest members of Spartan Performance who did the 100 Day Burpee Challenge?

Yup….Lauren and Andrew.

Coincidence?   I think not!

The 30 Second Mobility Cure      “Sitting in physically damaging. Some even say that excess sitting is the smoking of our generation. Luckily, the “cure” for most mobility problems can be found in one simple, 30-second drill that you’ve never seen before – the Thoracic Bridge.“—Max Shank for TNation.com

I have a confession… My name is, Lauren, I am a 100 Day Burpee Challenge drop out. LOL. I only made it to day 60-something. Those 60 days did make a difference though. 🙂 Thanks for the acknowledgement, but I can’t take credit for something I didn’t complete. 🙂 I do, however, recommend it to anyone looking to improve their endurance.

That’s why I wrote “has come close to finishing”. Doing 60 days in a row of burpees is huge and will have a worthwhile effect. Doing it for the entire 100 days will have an impact on your mindset as well as your body.

Most folks will never do a single burpee never mind doing them everyday for 2 months.
