FINDING YOUR IDEAL WEIGHT: HOW GETTING LEANER KILLS PERFORMANCE               “One of the things I like most about CrossFit, is that through it many women have come to realize that thigh gaps and starvation are not the keys to health or happiness. Instead, they have embraced the thicker quads that come from heavy lifting, as well as the thicker waists that come from that, too. I’ve yet to see a high level CrossFitter worry about his or her weight – something that may be a first for any form of competitive event. Ever. No weight classes means athletes are free to enter at whatever weight they feel the best at, and you can see the results, as they speak for themselves.“—Andrew Read for Breaking Muscle

2 NUMBERS THAT WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER ROWER          “Well, I would offer this: People who are overweight often think they eat “mostly good” because they pay no attention to the details in their diet. People who think they row adequately are also not paying attention to details. Both result in less than optimal outcomes and prolonged frustration. And both happen frequently in athletes who are otherwise meticulous about their health and fitness, and who are in a bit of denial.”—Becca Borawski Jenkins for Breaking Muscle

Hahaha, I think that’s more of a “If I don’t look at him, he won’t snap the picture” look. :p

I love the article about weight, I hate to see people, myself included, focus on a target weight.
