CROSSFIT SUFFOLK: Powered By SPARTAN PERFORMANCE

Congratulations to Tatyana and Bethany!  101 days ago they set out with a dozen more athletes from CrossFit Suffolk to complete the 100 Day Burpee Challenge.  Yesterday, the 100th Day of the Challenge, Tatyana and Bethany were the only two “left standing”!  In 100 days Tatyana and Bethany performed 5,050 burpees!

During the last 3 months we got to see these ladies do their burpees after the workout of the day.  Their determination, perseverance, discipline and mental toughness was something special to see.  Besides the obvious enhanced physical conditioning, this challenge builds a stronger “can-do” attitude.  This attitude was evident when Tatyana injured her shoulder and continued participate in the challenge anyway.  It was evident when Bethany decided to take on the Whole 30 Challenge when she was more than 2 months into the 100 Day Burpee Challenge.

For time:
500 meter row
then (immediately)
4 rounds
20 Russian kettlebell swings 24/16kg
30 sit-ups

    Awesome job Tatyana and Bethany that is truly one of the hardest challenges out there, I didn’t make it past day 17. I’m really surprised there are no burpees in the WOD today.. you are becoming soft George!!

    Thank you!!! Haha John, today is rest day before Spartan race 🙂 Bethany, you fully deserve more than one drink to celebrate!!!! George & Lisa, we are so lucky to have you both on our side. When my shoulder pain was bothering me enough to cringe every time I did a burpee and told you I’m not going to quit, you’ve worked with me to find a modification so I can continue this crazy idea if mine. Truly blessed for our coaches and Crossfit family!!!
