THE TRUTH ABOUT SQUATTING DEEP

This TNation article was written by one of Long Island’s top Powerlifting coaches, John Gaglione.  John’s training facility is located in Farmingdale.  Bear in mind while reading this that while the information and drills are outstanding, when John discusses squat technique at a meet he’s referring to a Powerlifting competition.  The competitive squat at the Powerlift meet is the Back Squat done from a very wide stance.  The squat may or may not be different then what you’re accustomed to.  This is not to suggest one way is right and one way is wrong, they are just different.  In any event you’ll find Gaglione’s article interesting, entertaining and helpful!—George
