COMING SOON TO A DIET CRAZE NEAR YOU

There isn’t one perfect definition of what eating well and living a healthy lifestyle is. But when it comes to food especially, there are a lot of people that think they have the correct answer.  And if you’re one of ‘those people’, I’m sorry, but, you’re WRONG! I’m not going to try to tell you what you should or shouldn’t eat – and I’m the last person that is going to judge you for your choices. I’ve spent two-thirds of my life villianizing food; lost in rules of what was and wasn’t okay. It’s an obsession that only distanced me from optimal health, isolated me and made me miserable.  While I’m not going to outline the perfect diet for you here, I am going to tell you what it’s not. Brace yourselves, here it comes…

The ‘perfect diet’ should not be something you obsess over.”—Amy Kubal for Robb Wolf.com

HANDSTANDS WILL MAKE YOU BETTER AT EVERYTHING

For thousands of years, athleticism has been demonstrated through feats of bodyweight strength and skill, with fit individuals judged not just by their bodies’ tone, but by how skillfully they could use their bodies.  Even in the golden age of bodybuilding, Arnie and the boys were known to challenge each other post workout with hand balancing and bodyweight strength contests.  We then saw a lull in these activities, with the popularization of the fixed-axis weight-lifting machine and single-plane isolation “robot training,”  but luckily for you and me (and the human race), the idea of skills practice and self-mastery is making its way back into fitness.“—Mike Fitch for Progressive Calisthenics

OMG I totally have done that with pizza! Eat one slice, devour it in T-.000003 seconds and then have two more :-/ lol. And Orheos. I’ve had one or two then, boom, almost polish off a sleeve. Then have felt like a complete failure, then proud that I ate three damn slices and prob some garlic knots bc I’m trying to find some satisfaction lol. It’s the food emotional roller coaster!!!!

I’d rather indulge in a huge plate of penna ala vodka!! Sleeve of oreos is way too easy to eat and barely taste them going down lol

True story: My PR for a 5k was done 45 minutes after inhaling 3 slices of pizza!

Speaking of pizza…go to Luchese’s on Waverly Avenue (south of Sunrise) in Patchogue and get the Grandma slices. THE BEST!
