CROSSFIT SUFFOLK: Powered By SPARTAN PERFORMANCE

A little blood-letting never hurt anyone. 500 Russian kettlebell swings with a 44 pound kettlebell. Nifty little workout! No blood until 325 swings.

OBESITY LINKED TO SEVERE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE, ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNGER PATIENTS

HOW TO BUILD A “PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID KIT”

Congratulations!

The date of Friday was the 17th of April. The gym has been closed for a little over a month now. We were shut down on March 17th. We have made it to this point. We have experienced hardship but we have also learned things. We have learned things about each other but more importantly, we learned things about ourselves.

If you are reading this then most likely you continued your training. Perhaps not as much as before. Perhaps more than before. In any event you knew you had to keep your fitness up and you did!

You lasted 30 days under stress. Just having your routine changed and being concerned with not getting a dangerous virus and not passing the virus to a loved one has placed you under stress but you’re still here. You’re still going. GOOD FOR YOU!

If you work in a hospital then you are intimately familiar with stress. If you have remained healthy then you really have accomplished something. You are in the thick of battle but you answer the call on every shift. This has made you stronger.

Or you actually got sick and recovered. Huge obstacle cleared!

I realize we are not out of the woods yet. As I write this I’m not even sure when the gym will open. The one thing I do know is we have made it this far. We lived a different life for a month. That was a month of hurdling obstacles. A month of adding another level of resilience to ourselves. A month of facing a deadly-serious challenge and coming through like winners.

Congratulations. Keep up the good work and good attitude!

We have to organize a ZOOM party! Only a handful of you responded to my initial attempt to get feedback. I’ll try again because Katy invited Lisa and I on a ZOOM meeting. There was 7 of us and it was a great time! So, one more time…with feeling….let us know if you’re interested in a ZOOM “party”. It’s an online meeting right in the comfort of your home. You don’t even have to put your pants on! It’s a great way to socialize without entertaining in your home. When you want to leave you don’t have to feel pressure to do the “Irish Goodbye” you can just hit the sign-off button. Let me know in the comment section or text me if you’re interested. If you let me know already you don’t have to let me know again.

Good words george! For me I don’t see this as particularly hard. It sort of feels like the time I had after quitting my job and starting my business. So I’m sort of comfortable with this, it still sucks, but ultimately it is bearable.

And yes I will join a zoom happy hour, drink in hand ?
