CRossfit SUFFOLK: Powered By SPARTAN PERFORMANCE

What a great day for Team CrossFit Suffolk/Spartan Performance at the 631 Throwdown!

 While we didn’t have any athletes on the podium we saw so many other accomplishments.  First and foremost we had 13 athletes compete at one event.  The following athletes competed: Matt M., Marc, Jason, Jay, Brad, Vinny, Brian C., Angelo, Mike D., Tiffany, Annmarie, Liliane and Maria.  Second, every woman and some of the men lifted for a personal record during the Clean and Jerk ladder .   Third, in Matt M.’s first competition in the Rx’d division he came in 4th overall and the competition was fierce. Fourth, in a stacked Scaled Division Tiffany finished 6th!

We’re so proud  of our athletes and not only for competing , but how hard they worked preparing for this event.  We are privy to the back story of our athletes– who was injured just before the competition, who had family obligations or emergencies and who had extra work obligations at a time when they should have been training.  We understand that life often throws obstacles in our path and training for competition isn’t physically, mentally and emotionally easy.   The effort and commitment by our athletes was outstanding!

TODAY’S SCHEDULE WILL INCLUDE AN EXTRA MORNING SESSION AT 9-10AM ALONG WITH THE USUAL 10-11AM and 11AM-12PM.

 

THERE WILL BE A SESSION FOR THOSE COMPETING IN THE CROSSFIT GAMES OPEN TODAY AT 12PMTHIS SESSION IS FOR THE OPEN COMPETITORS ONLY.

20 kettlebell sumo deadlift high pull 32/24kg
30 wall ball, 20/14#
40 air squats
50 sit-ups

    What a blast, I’m still excited from yesterday. I never would have thought this would be so much fun! It’s like an emotional and physical roller coaster lol

    congrats ladies and gents…you all did great! and everyone PR’d !!! way to go Spatanss!!! also thank you Kelly, tatyana,Sabrina, Jamie, Michael,Denise, Carol, Cindy, Beth, Andrew, Coach Lauren, Coach Melissa and Nicole for all coming out to support the athletes! <3- JUst for the record Janie tried but got lost – thank you for trying anyway, we allknow you have a big heart! ! 🙂 best of luck to you all in your next endeavors!

    Great job to the Athletes that participated & for everyone the came out to support them. I told George that I planned on just stopping down for a few minutes to show my support. I was truly impressed & inspired by the whole competition from the athletes, supporters & atmosphere that I didn’t want to leave. I stayed till the very end. Again, to everyone that was there. You were all great!
