The 2019 CrossFit Open starts this week.
On Thursday night at 8 pm the first of 5 weeks of competition workouts will be released. This is a competition that, while being held the world over, is done in your own “box” (gym) or any other official affiliate.
If you register for the the Open you will do the Open workout sometime between Thursday night and Monday night. While doing the workout you’ll have a judge assigned who will count your reps and make sure you’re meeting the movement standards and following the rules of the competition as well as the individual event. We will be making the Open workout the workout of the day (WOD) every Friday for the next 5 Fridays. If you cannot do the Open workout on Friday you’ll have the opportunity to do it on Saturday, Sunday or Monday. The Open workouts include a scaled division. Also, there are age categories where the workouts are modified for teens and Masters 55 years old and older.
