Let's face it.  We all want to be Superheroes.  Well you're in luck.  Steve Kamb of Nerd Fitness, has written How To Get Big And Strong Like A Superhero.

While at the Nerd Fitness website I found this gem: Meet Staci: Your New Powerlifting Superhero.  I've read numerous "body transformation" stories before, but this one, besides being a great story, covered the topic of the common belief held by many women that lifting weights will make them "bulky".  This baseless belief has been shared with me so often I now officially hate the word "bulky".  Nearly every new woman that joins our gym states, "My goal is to "tone"…I don't want to get "bulky""  Some women are afraid to look at the weights for fear of gaining unsightly muscle. Fortunately we are able to change their mindset quickly.

I want you all to share this story with every woman that you know.  My goal is education.  I want all women to be informed so they don't have to hold on to this nonsensical fear about becoming overly muscled by lifting weights.  It's difficult to quantify, but there are probably numerous women who would like to get in better shape, but are afraid to do any workouts that include weight training.  In reality lifting weights, done properly, is the best way to change the shape of the body.
