I really enjoyed this article, it makes some good points. I especially liked #9 – you have to get out there and make things happen – not just sit there and hope!

Agreed. To expand on #9, it was one of my favorites too and something I’ve tried to communicate to my children–you can’t depend on a thing or a situation to make you happy. Your happiness has to come from within and your state of happiness has to be based on a decision to be happy–that’s all.
This is lost on so many, but it keeps bar owners, club owners and liquor store owners in business not to mention bartenders, psychologists, lawyers, cops, correction officers and probably a few other professions I’m failing to think of.
