THE CROSSFIT SUFFOLK TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE WINNERS

This Challenge was a great experience, both, as a “challenge” and educationally. Most of you are continuing the Zone, perhaps with some tweaks and a cheat meal. This is great news as everyone who stuck with it lost body fat, lost weight and reported to feel better and perform better.

31 members started the Challenge and 22 finished it with positive results. 1 member started late and is in her final week. I’m pleasantly surprised that 22 members saw the Challenge all the way through. I honestly thought there would only be a few that would stick with it.

Most of the 22 members did NOT do the Zone as strict as we had set the guidelines. That was fine as the 22 finishers were able to stay on track anyway. The effectiveness of the results speak for themselves.

I have to thank Danielle and Bernie. They provided the Biodynamics Model 310E Body Composition Analyzer. This tool was invaluable for collecting the data we needed to determine the winners and for further analysis of what occurred, numerically speaking, during the Challenge. Thank you Danielle and Bernie!

Congratulations to the winners:
For The Biggest Reduction In Body Fat for Men: Jason Wilcox.  Jason lost 7% body fat and dropped 21 pounds! Jason did the Zone S-T-R-I-C-T-L-Y. Jason works crazy hours and did not get to workout during the Challenge. This speaks volumes about the “diet”.  Jason completely dedicated himself to making the Zone work and work it did. Great job Jason!

For Most Lean Muscle Mass Gained for Men: Andrew Murphy. Andrew lost 5% body fat and gained 2.9 pounds of lean muscle mass. Andrew started the Zone a couple of weeks before the rest of us, but this gain in lean muscle mass was during the 6 weeks of the Challenge! Andrew continues to improve in the gym and with his body composition. Andrew has been with us for 7 months and in that time he has lost 50 lbs.! This requires consistent hard work and drastic nutritional changes. Way to go Andrew!

The Winner of both Biggest Reduction of Body Fat and Most Lean Muscle Gained for Women is the same person: Millie. Millie lost 7% body fat, dropped 12 pounds and gained 6.3 lbs. of lean muscle! We could not be happier for Millie. Millie is consistently one of the hardest workers in the gym and returned to training after a life-threatening medical condition that would have caused most people to stop training permanently.  Millie’s performance in the gym has improved during the Challenge and Millie serves as an inspiration for many of us.—George
