You’re welcome Juana. I realized the chart became necessary when I would tell people to work at “conversational pace” and they would stare back at me as if I were speaking a foreign language. Apparently the problem is widespread–there must be over 40 charts that explain Rate of Exertion.

People like charts, pictures, cartoons and video. I suppose, in this case, it’s helpful, but maybe it points out a bigger problem..check this out: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-09-07/america-illiterate. (This is not directed toward you or anybody else in the gym. I just happen to read it prior to reading your comment. 🙂 ) My use of the chart in today’s blog reminded me of the article, that’s all.

See…it’s happening. That wasn’t even proper grammar. “I just happened to have read it” is more like it. Clearly, my use of charts and videos is making me functionally illiterate. Good grief.

Charlie Brown get it together! But wow that article was spot on, this is the society we live in now. People don’t talk to each other anymore everything is emoji here emoji there. We live in a world where everything is based of “brands come with images and slogans.” Thank you for the article.

My pleasure Juana. Nice Peanuts/Charlie Brown reference. That brought a tear to my eye.

Good point regarding the article. I think I’ll put the article up on the main site since not everyone visits the Comment Zone.
