Starting Over

What Combat Handgunning REALLY Requires For Success  "First and foremost — and I realize that this is politically incorrect, socially unpalatable, and offensive to many — is the readiness and willingness to kill a human being, if and when necessary, without the slightest tremor of hesitation."–Bradley Steiner–

If you feel this post doesn't pertain to you you're wrong.  We don't want you to be dead wrong!

Personally, I don't care what your opinion about guns is and I don't even fully agree with the author's shooting methodology.  Actually, I do care about your opinion about firearm onwership, but this post isn't about guns per se and it's not about politics or the law, it's about proper mindset and defending yourself.  I do agree with the author regarding the message of the article and that message is contained in his quote above.

We believe that everyone has the right to defend themselves and we believe, whether you get some kind of training or not, you should come to terms with this matter and at least give it some thought on a regular basis.  The time to think about bad things AND be prepared for them is BEFORE they happen.

We'll expand on this in future posts.  For now read Bradley Steiner's article and consider his above quote.

7 Special Forces Soldiers To Get Silver Star For Afghan Valor  For some bizarre reason news items such as this one don't receive the same fanfare that the "stars" of dopey TV shows receive.

Whenever the discussion of top atheletes comes up these guys and those like them are who we think of.  Read the article and notice how all these men were involved in sprinting(toward gunfire!), squatting, throwing and dragging or carrying wounded soldiers or police officers all while shooting at the enemy and being shot at.  It's bad enough having your heart rate elevated by physical exertion, but their heart rate is also elevated hormonally by the additional factor of FEAR!  Hardcore physical exertion combined with fear and yet these soldiers performed spectacularly!

These men are special and we are fortunate to have them in our military.  We truly appreciate their service to our country!
